O Bando and VAT Teater Workshop | April 2022

In April 7th-10th 2022 teams of O Bando and VAT Teater met in the highest town of Portugal, Guarda, to talk about our high concepts for the second production. Both teams are working with the idea of using motion- and movement-tracking technologies in their productions to increase the participation factor of the shows. With that professor Carlos Carreto from Guarda Polytechnical Institute introduced the teams different sensor systems (LIDAR, kinect) and explained the dangers and possibities, that these technologies can create in theatre process. The technology can give theatre makers a fresh possibility to have the decision-making as an active part of the show. But first the teams have to make same good conceptual and practical decisions itself.
The planned premieres are in the first half of 2023 (January for VAT Teater and March for O Bando).

The Estonian team consisted of Helen Rekkor, Villem Rootalu and Mihkel Seeder
The Portuguese team consisted of João Neca, Raul Atalaia, Nuno Atalaia, Inês Gregório, Elena Tilli and Carlos Carreto.
